The poem “Resignation” has been posted & is available in the above links. For my money, this poem is not that elegiac, though it is does bear affinities with the other Exeter Book poems of contemplation, especially as it gets towards the middle. Also, I’m treating the poem as one complete poem, not two (as some critics have maintained), taking it on the authority of my elegy expert locally available.
Also, as an update, there are now forty-five separate pages of translations available here, rendering very close to 22,000 lines of Anglo-Saxon verse. Keep checking back often–I seem to be afire while attending this NEH seminar. Lots of Anglo-Saxon inspiration around here! Certainly more will be translated in the next two weeks!
