The end is coming soon — Meters XXX is now posted upon its proper page. Just one left to go to have the whole Meters of Boethius translated, and to round off the bulk of what can really be translated on this page. Still working on “The Riming Poem” and that’s going slowly due to lots of odd words and constructions. A.E. Stallings’ translation in The Word Exchange (the only extant translation that I can locate) is not much help here, since it seems to be very loose indeed. Guess I should check that Dumbarton Oaks edition of the shorter poems–maybe there’s a version there.

Also have a translation in progress of “The Seasons for Fasting” which is also going slowly. Need to wait until I get my hands on that recent edition of the poem when I get back home. Other than these two I’m working on, there is very little left in the corpus that is very long. Many very short verses in the minor poems. We’ll see what’s there when I start digging through them. 

Of course, there are the Metrical Charms, which should be fun and take a bit of time. They probably deserve their own page on the website. I haven’t been in a hurry to get to these, because some are very well-translated in The Word Exchange.
